Autonomic computing, also described as self healing systems, are a new fad in computing amongst the biggies (IBM, HP, etc). The two primary features are diagnostics and corrective routines.

Almost in passing, I have incorported automated background launching of any named subroutines (prescribed in xml files). I havent written the diagnostics of healing pieces, but these are pieces common to systems over past decades, hardly difficult.

So I can't say that I have done autonomic computing yet, but it looks like doing so is going to be pretty easy to get a atart, once I get a customer interested in the end result.
