Working Style
I have worked effectively in many different environments, from corporate to institutional to very small companies. If it is an option, it is more enjoyable to work with a crack team that can move fast, make decisions without much politics, and has a good depth of skills. I prefer to push myself hard, set high goals and then make a bit of a game out of hitting the targets. Nirvana is when I don't have to go to meetings and can code for hours and days on end without interruption.


This preference for productivity is not always politically correct, and I have had to learn to adapt my more instintive ways of doing things to a more adaptive approach when required in some organizations.


The biggest challenge is perceiving messages and obstacles at a non-verbal level. Said in another way, I do best when working with direct and open communications.

Personality Profile
If you're into the corporate personality profiling thing, my Myers Briggs type is INTJ. I see myself as a funny and laid back guy, but this profile tells a different story. So I work hard to moderate things so I come out as close to the way I see myself as possible, given where I start out.

Perhaps the most important finding from the above links is that anyone who is an INTJ can drive someone who is indecisive nearly batty. Not intentionally of course, but it is a very predictable side effect, and it is not pleasant for me to watch. One hates to see someone uncomfortable for because of a bad fit, so I strive to find a good match first.

Personal Hobbies
My favorite hobby is cycling. You'll find me riding around White Rock Lake once or twice a week from my home in Addison. Additionally I enjoy jogging, skiing, just about anything to get outside and get the endorphins pumping.
